First time visiting but went there specifically for soft shell crab - and it was worth it. I called in advance, helpful over the phone, just as much in person. I was able to order and get it fast. Even on Valentines evening when place was packed. Soft shell + Gumbo special. Best around!!!
Cute hole in the wall spot!! I did enjoy the raw oysters more than the chargrilled but it just depends on the person! The roast beef sandwich was huge. Also ordered their snow crab legs which were appropriately priced.
My family went to celebrate my nephew’s birthday, but the restaurant was very crowded. We were told it would be a twenty minute wait. While we waited a party of four was seated. The hostess said it was because a square table could not accommodate five. We spent thirty minutes and watched several patrons depart. I’ve eaten at Charles Seafood many times. The food is okay, but it’s usually quaint eating there. Not today! The hostess with long dark hair needs an attitude adjustment. Never eating there again!
My husband and I have gone there many times and the food is always delicious and the waitresses are very attentive and friendly.
