The least professional doctor I have come across. After a very good echo and a very good she scheduled a follow up with her PA. I went and was told follow up tests were necessary. When I followed up asking specific questions about why these more tests were needed, she never answered. When I followed up again asking for a response, she told me she had contacted my PCP who would hep me find another cardiologist. I took my mom to see Dr. Shankar due to some heart-related concerns, and unfortunately, our experience was very negative. Dr. Shankar came across as unprofessional, and at times, made us feel uncomfortable — even discriminatory. She looked my mom and me up and down and asked, “How long have you been in this country?” This question was both irrelevant and inappropriate in a medical setting and made us feel judged and unwelcome. A caring and meticulous cardiologist with a sense of humor. She diagnosed my husbands problem and got him set up for treatment. Without her intervention, he would likely have progressed to MI. Dr Shankar, we cannot thank you enough. Molly Collier

One of the worst Doctors I have ever come across in my 63 years. She actually told me that using dumbbell weights were the worst exercises to do for high blood pressure. Need I say more
