I took my mom to see Dr. Shankar due to some heart-related concerns, and unfortunately, our experience was very negative. Dr. Shankar came across as unprofessional, and at times, made us feel uncomfortable — even discriminatory. She looked my mom and me up and down and asked, “How long have you been in this country?” This question was both irrelevant and inappropriate in a medical setting and made us feel judged and unwelcome. One of the worst Doctors I have ever come across in my 63 years. She actually told me that using dumbbell weights were the worst exercises to do for high blood pressure. Need I say more
