I have known Charity Chimney Sweep since 2018 and they have done numerous jobs for me and I have referred them to numerous clients of mine. I contracted with them in 2020 to rebuild our entire chimney and they charged me 6900. There were a few issues with that job but they did come back and rectifiy the issues. Thus I was shocked when I reached out to the owner, Steve in 2023 with some concerns and my calls, texts, and emails have been ignored. Thus I am considering legal options and a complaint with the state of Georgia.
I was pleasantly surprised when I called in and was able to get a next day appointment for a chimney inspection. Corey, the technician, called me the day of to let me know his eta which I appreciated. He was quick and thorough and offered my husband good information around options for our fireplace. I highly recommend them.
I had a chimney cap replaced a little over a year ago from this company. I should have stopped them from installing it the second I saw the new cap. The original cap had an offset for the flue. The new one was centered. Somehow they messed up on the measurements. I pointed it out to the installers and they acted like it wasn't a problem. The installers ended up forcing the flue so far over to get it to fit that the tube no longer has clearance and rest against the wood frame inside the attic at an angle. We were referred to Charity Chimney Sweeps and could not have been more impressed. We were able to secure a same day appointment! The office gave us a window of 11am-1pm and the technician called around 12:00 pm to give me a 30 minute heads up that he would be at my house. Allen was wonderful to work with!
