For me, this station offers a quick place to top off before a trip. The nearby Foster Coffee provides good beverages and even a snack. If I were waiting on a longer charge I would go for a walk on the James Miner Trail along the River and check out Curwood Castle and/or the Shiawassee Arts Center.
I preconditioned my battery for DC fast charging in my 24 Hummer. The chargepoint started charging at around 45 kWh - for about 5 minutes… then started ramping down rapidly. At the 15 minute mark it was at 38 kWh. By the time an hour was up it had dipped to a shockingly low 10 kWh. At this rate I can charge faster on a level 2 charger at home. Sorry but that’s horribly slow and unacceptable.
Charger worked and pared with the app as expected.
