Tybee Island Parking Service has an unhealthy habit of unplugging vehicles that are charging through adapters here.
It gets 5 stars because their is ONE. One on the entire island. So annoying there aren't more EV stations. This is a problem everywhere. I had to wait. But once I got on.. it worked fine. 10 more would be good. In this location. It's slow. Tho. Barely 60kw and quickly went to 55. It needs to be at least 150 for today's evs and 350 is more proper to keep up. Btw.. your GPS might take you to a nearby parking lot. The chargers are on the side of a building. By the beach lot itself
I use the CCS charger for my iX whenever I’m on the island, and it has always worked well. I consistently get between 60-62 kW. I’ve never had to wait, and the beach is just steps away. The prices are reasonable—my last charge was just $16.
