It's the only charging station in the entire town that I could find, which is why I believe they gouge the price. It is roughly double any other station I've been to in South Dakota, and it charges quite slowly. In the future, I will either make sure that I arrive in the town with enough juice to get charged elsewhere or only put enough in to make it to a more reasonable place to charge, which is what I did.

If the 39 cents per kWh isn't bad enough, there's an additional charge of $5 per hour to park while charging. It also only charged at a rate of 30 kW when my car is capable of 50 kW. Overall, almost twice as expensive as gas for a comparable vehicle. I only recommend if you're desperate and have no other option.
