Carolina Burgers – Good char grilled taste. Chili is good, the slaw taste like it came from one of those little plastic tubs. I'm sorry, but it insults me to have to pay extra for slaw on a burger in NC.

Just got take out from the Cary location, Very disappointing. I haven't been to CG since back in the day at the Hillsborough location. Staff seemed like they could care less, BBQ sandwich was the smallest one I've seen in years, wife's 1/4lb steak was under cooked. My 1/2 lb wasn't bad and the BLT was also tiny. Fries were good
Char-grill Cary is different .... for a reason. – This is my first time reviewing / informing but felt compelled by some of the mis-information posted here about this great Raleigh tradition. Cary gets a Char-Grill! – I love the new Char-Grill that recently opened in Cary (Cary Parkway at Waldo Rood). It has outdoor and indoor seating, which was nice, considering it was 90 degrees. Inside it is nostalgically decorated with some articles about the original restaurant on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh and the Edwards Drive location. The food was superb! I had a hamburger steak junior. Love the fries too.
Good Burgers, Fries and Milk Shakes – My family and I stopped at Char-Grill after spending a day at Pullen Park which is just down the road. Had very good burgers (not the best I have ever had), fries and the milk shake was good too although a little too thick for my liking. I do agree with the review that was written earlier. . .the burgers would have ranked higher if you could choose how you would want them cooked (I like mine medium-rare). No inside seating. I have never, ever had a better cheeseburger- Raleigh Natives Know! – I am a Raleigh native although I currently live in Charleston, SC and have been here for 7 years but everytime I go home I plan a trip to Char-Grill! Excellent Food, But Customer Service Seems to be Sliding – I've been a huge fan of Char-Grill for the past 22 years or so, and I still think their burgers are some of the best around, and their fries are absolutely out of this world. However, I've noticed that the customer service is not what it used to be. Their posted hours say they are open until 2AM on Friday and Saturday evenings, but I found them closed at 5-10 minutes until 2 this past weekend.
