Guthrie is a skilled craftsman,who is willing to go the extra mile for his customers. I couldn’t fault his work in any way. Mounts Bay Windows completed the refurbishment of the upper floor windows of Centenary Hall (Chapel St Penzance - next to the Methodist Church) in summer 2024. They completed 2 more on the ground floor either side of the side entrance this summer (2025). These are very large complicated 'chapel' windows in a heritage building. Great craftsmanship and attention to detail. The work can be viewed from Chapel St and compared with the ground floor windows on the front elevation yet to be refurbished.
Having recently moved to the stunning location of Marazion, we found our two large display windows were suffering in sections from the weather. We called Guthrie at Mounts Bay based on their expertise and reviews and it was absolutely the right choice! Guthrie attended immediately and expertly looked and knew what was needed, when he would do it and at an excellent rate. If expert restoration is your need, we happily recommend him!
So pleased with my restored bathroom window. Guthrie was really patient and resourceful, climbing in and out my kitchen window to get to the worksite. Beautiful new fittings and well treated wood will last for many years to come. Very glad I went with Mounts Bay to restore rather than just replacing it with a modern alternative.
Very high quality workmanship from Guthrie and his team. The renovated windows are wonderful and regained their original elegance.
