This is the best Thai place in Herndon! They offer discount if you order the food through their website and that is super helpful.
Amazing food and the ambience is super cute! I've tried various dishes such as the pad thai, panang curry, and pineapple fried rice and they all taste delicious! The manager/owner is also super friendly! Highly recommend this restaurant!
We recently visited as a group, and one of us had a child. As soon as we were shown a table right next to the entrance, I politely asked if we could sit further inside since it was very cold outside and the frequent opening and closing of the door would make it uncomfortable for our table. The staff member responded, “You can look — do you see any tables open? You can check from here; it’s visible.” The tone felt dismissive and rude. We dined as four adults and one five-year-old child and were surprised to see an automatic gratuity added under a “party of five” policy. We were not clearly informed that children are counted toward the group size. We respect tipping practices, but clearer communication of this policy would have been appreciated. This impacted our overall experience.
Chao Phra Ya is my go-to restaurant for pad thai, but I also highly recommend the pineapple fried rice, kao soi, duck roll, and shrimp cakes. Most of the other items I tried here were also delicious! Service is very friendly and the interior is super cute and welcoming.
