Great dinner spoiled by weird penny-pinching policy… We went for a birthday dinner where we were in great spirits with a very nice waitress and great food. We paid to bring a cake and ordered a lot of food, but because our birthday girl liked the apps more than the mains, she only split an entree. Apparently you “only get a piece of bread per entree ordered” Before our apps, bread comes and they bring 6 pieces for the 7 of us, placing one on every single plate but the birthday girl. If you want to be jipped and rationed for your meals then come here. They don’t even give bread rolls unless you charge extra which is ridiculous for a 400$ dinner. The atmosphere is alright it’s pretty loud and everyone got their food before us despite being there before them. The food could be more exquisite for the price point.
We are food lovers from Seattle and have a very high bar for seafood and dining in general. The menu is superb, and the dishes are beautifully prepared. The elevation is on display in every dish. I would recommend to any of my friends that they go to Chanterelle. Thanks to the chef for stopping by and greeting us. We really appreciate that, and the care that clearly goes into every meal.
