If I could give negative stars I would. Absolute trash company. They should be ashamed of how they operate and hopefully are out of business soon, though they will probably reform under a new name anyways, and continue to do shady business. I can only urge people to stay away from anything related to Newmark and Mark Chandler. Do a little research and you will see the poor track record and legal battlings they have been involved in. Please stay far away.
We bought in the condo building Murrayville House. It was delayed by over a year and ultimately foreclosed on, and now in a recieving company's hand. Newmark double and triple sold units. They scammed money out of a number of people and have potentially ruined our chances of getting into the housing market as we have waited for 10 months to move and everything has increased in value in that time. I hope this company feels sympathetic to the families they've screwed over.
My husband owns a small electrical company based out of Maple Ridge, which is known for high quality work. He hasn't been completely paid for the electrical work (completed in April, 2016) on the new, very lavish Newmark office building in Langley, BC. There have been constant excuses for non-payment, such as, there's a cheque ready in the office it just needs signing , there's a cheque in the mail, they're just waiting for funds to come in, etc. It's been a constant run around! I worked here for a short period and am appalled at the amount of money Mark owes. He has 2 separate lawsuits alone totaling 13 million. On top of that there are countless unpaid trades. If you look on whos getting sued he owes a leasing company in the states over 300k and a credit card company down there another 300k. There is more and more online.
