I have worked with Champions for housing and they are amazing . The people who work the shower are so kind and loving. I went here before for other reasons and it was not good. I felt judged and it wasn’t good but these people turned it around.
Sometimes I feel like God wants me to feel loved better than what I had been loved by before that's why I'm upset dealing with things and it doesn't always fit my lifestyle.
There is no help here. Was told I would be an easy case since I wasn’t an addict or had mental health difficulties. Later on one of the lady’s tells me that I need a mental condition to even be part of champions, to which I lied about me having depression. I also was required to get a Medi-Cal and Cal-Viva which took about a month or so to get the cards. 3 months then go by with little to no real solutions or plans all while I’m still homeless.
