We spent three years at this gym in the recreational program with two different children and in that amount of time, we never saw any progress in our kids at all. My daughter came to us to tell us she thought the teachers were not taking the class seriously and talking to eachother and gossiping about work issues in front of the kids.They didn't teach them any skills, they learned some cartwheels and how to do a round off and that was do a round- off and that was it. NOT HELPFUL – am new to the area and looking to put my 5 year old in a gymnastics or dance class. I do NOT think this is the gym for us...first when I called to inquire regarding class times and how to get involved I was told to look on the website. Upon getting to the website it instructs me TO CALL to discuss class times. Due to my new schedule we were unsure which day would fit in best, but I thought I would call for a trial class. Couldn't be happier! We have two children at Champion Gymnastics- our 7 year old daughter is in the Stars Program and our 4 year old son is in the Preschool program. We have been beyond happy with our experience at Champions. The coaching staff is top notch! I have seen amazing progress over the past few years in my daughter's skills, self discipline and her ever growing love of gymnastics. The BEST gym in Katy...hands down We have had such a good experience at Champion Gymnastics. Our youngest son (now he's 8) started in the preschool program 4 years ago. He has steadily progressed through the ranks and is now on the level 5 boys team. Our coaches have always been very professional in fact last year our level 4 coach was selected the best level 4 coach in Texas! He incorporates lots of fun along with tons of hard work. Champion Gymnastics Academy is a bad environment I would not recommend this gym. Very high turnover, in the lower levels. The competitive team environment is abusive. Owners deal with complaints by telling the customer they can leave.

Okay I only have experience with the preschool age and under programs at Champions. Overall, we weren't very impressed. The instructors were unprofessional and really inconsistent. I would say they devoted about 50% of their attention to teaching the class and the other 50% to talking to instructors of other classes. Personality wise, some days the teacher would let the kids get away with ANYTHING and would be borderline hyperactive herself, other days she was really short and would snap at the kids for behavior she encourag... read more

Great Programs Great team programs. For parents of new gymnasts, all gyms have a high coaching turnover from time to time, jfyi. This is a coaching fact of life.
