Easily booked online. With follow up text to confirm. Getting there was easy. In the lovely Swan valley. When we arrived I found no greeting. Got a lot of looks tho. I had to tell them I had a booking and was then asked 'Name?' Thought that was a bit unwelcoming. I have been to Champagne & Gumboots many times and the staff and products are always good. We recently had our wedding and Stacey made our cake and cupcakes. They were a huge hit with our guests, the cake was amazing!
The atmosphere was quite good and relaxed. The food was more 'Gum Boots' rather than 'Champagne'. The person serving, talked up the menu quite a bit also praising the chef. I ordered a whole fish. It was over cooked as well as being raw in sections i.e. the chef had tried to cook a frozen fish. Yuk! Another person also whisked away one of our plates without asking and we were not quite finished yet!
Incredible gluten free cupcakes, Stacey is always friendly, professional and delightful. The cupcakes are moist, fluffy and delicious. Perfect for my mums birthday they looked like a sunset. Highly recommend
Food was ok. Service was absolutely horrendous, the owner was rude and snarky towards my family and I. She gave me the wrong milkshake and I didn’t complain but when I asked about their caramel slice she spoke to me as if I was a child. Her only saving grace was her wonderful front of house staff. Would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone or their families.
