Our favorite place to stay in Chama. Rooms are very clean. And we like the outside seating area with picnic tables and fire pit.
The beds are so soft. After camping for three nights, we were delighted to sink into a great bed. We all slept soundly. With the air on, we didn’t hear anyone in other rooms. Plus the place is adorable.
Booked 2 rooms June 12 & 13 with plans to ride the train on the 13th. On the morning of the 13th, we got a message from the railroad that the train had been cancelled due to a mechanical problem with the engine. We were allowed to cancel our rooms for that day, and re-arrange our itinerary going forward. The staff was super helpful, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and they have covered motorcycle parking for 2 bikes. Highly recommend this motel.
This place is located conveniently in, if you are going to ride the train, it's just a couple minutes away from the train station and the section of town where all the shopping is. There's a grocery store across the street and an awesome taco restaurant within walking distance. It's the little things. There's a refrigerator. There's a microwave.
