Have bought from the still current owner Steve Cotton since Challenge were in Pirie Street early 70's I think? Really miss those old buildings. Certainly in the early 70's these guys could not be touched for decent customer service and a ton of listening rooms and range of product. Timeless... Still buying today in 2026 and recommend to everyone they go visit Challenge now at their new shop on South Terrace Adelaide. Our experience with Challenge Hi-fi started with a simple phone-call to check if they had a certain speaker on display for us to see prior to purchase. What transpired was an in-depth lesson into the art of audio. We met Zane who explained everything in incredible detail.
