After reading all the one star reviews of this hospital how is it still open? Why has there not been an inquiry. My 81 year old mother has been twice in the last week by ambulance and the second time was denied seeing a doctor as she was told there was no doctor available and to go home. How is this legal? She was confused and in excruciating pain. She had a horrible accident and may have a fractured neck. But they are not treating her. Only giving her pain killers. She needs a diagnosis. I am in Ontario and it’s so frustrat... read more

Spent more than 8h there, and was made wait on purpose. Anyone who comes after me (no matter the case and even if mine is more urgent than theirs) was being seen and i was being ignored. At a certain point I was alone in the waiting room for a few hours without being seen and someone who arrived with a minor case was seen right away. So why was i being ignored on purpose? if i could a - into the stars i would. Even if you come into the hospital with an ambulance with stroke like systems be prepared to be evaluated by a nurse, who doesn't even look at you, then given a bracelet and put in the er. I have seen myself waiting almost twelve hours to see a doctor because my seizures will not end. They always just scratch there heads like they dont know what they're doing. Its also not very friendly, one doctor if yer lucky on staff in the er at a time. Nurses who just seem to be cold and uncaring. ... read more

My father in law 97 years old waited 915 am to 330 pm. We took him home without seeing a doctor. At that point nobody had been called in to see the doctor for over 2 hours. Hire some nurse practitioners. There is one training at Martha Vickers. She's leaving in March but if she had a job at emergency department the people could be processed. And people could live and not die.
