We showed up on our scheduled check in date and another party was given our room. We paid for the room but never heard from anyone associated with the Tidal 5. We still haven't heard anything 24 hours later. I left messages on five different contact information for Tidal 5 . Michael is not a superhost! It worked out for us in the long run. We found a much cleaner , less dingy, much roomier place for a cheaper price around the corner. The pictures online do not represent the Tidal 5 well. It's not a good place to stay.
Not steps from the beach! You can’t not get to the beach on foot. You have to drive. They are not clean, mold on the shower curtain, missing towel rack and light bulbs, no comforters on the bed. Just a thin fleece blanket sandwiched between two sheets, generally just not cleaned like it should be for a higher end place. Your view is of storage containers and a dog poop station. The bungalow is in a fantastic location. The ventilation is terrible especially up stairs where the bedrooms are. In the smaller bedroom no blinds on the windows and no windows that opened. The large bedroom has a very small window to open, but otherwise you gotta freeze with the door open to be able to sleep. It's was extremely hot. UPDATE: I see the owner responded. #1 no there was no comforter. Idk why my photos didn't upload but I'll upload them again. All we had was sheets and a fleece blanket. In the bin at the foot of the bed was an extra fleece blanket and two pillows. That's all that was there. #2 there is NO lock on the door aside from your pin pad. No deadbolt, no latch, nothing. My partner and I rented one of these cabin spaces for a week, and it was incredibly disappointing. I've had better comfort and convenience in cheap hotels, honestly. I come by Ocean Shores almost every year and this is the first time I've rented one of these units. First the design of the unit is awful, poorly maintained, and was clearly tossed together as cheaply as possible.
