Very expensive place. I bought 4 samosa for $15 and it was very very small size . I did not like the taste of the tea. It was not thick. 1 Nan for $4 , small plate of butter chicken $27 + tax 👎
Relaxing spot in Harlem. A good selection of vegan options are available. We had the Mumbai Chili Shrimp, Samosa, Turmeric Fries (surprisingly good), and Naan. All delicious. Great service too.
Service and covid precautions were absolutely on point!!! Food, on the other hand, could've been better. I ordered their chai, because you know..you have to..the place is called "Chaiwali." It was very underwhelming to be honest. Would I come back, sure if I am in the neighborhood..but wouldn't make a trip just for it..I must say their bread and platter with various spread was amazing..just for that, I changed the review from 3 to 4 stars...
Changed alot since it opened. Indian fusion. The main courses are puzzling - interesting fusion curries but served plain (without rice or bread), our wait staff switched and the lady who took our orders was very misleading and to be honest not polite. Overall an interesting neighborhood food place but the menu could do with simple additions and definitely polite and knowledgeable (about indian food and the portion sizes!) staff.
Love this place! Great food, ambience and staff!
