My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this gem in downtown Cincinnati, and now I completely understand why they're famous for their empanadas. Boy, let me tell you they absolutely lived up to the hype! I ordered two of the short rib empanadas and two of the mushroom and feta. The mushroom and feta stole the show for me. I am very impressed by Ché! I ordered the chorizo queso, and 3 empanadas. My favorite was the verde chicken chile. The empanadas were incredible and a good size, I was able to share an appetizer and 3 empanadas with my partner and it was filling. I will be returning.
Cider was good, tacos was 3/5, and the server I felt was talking to my spouse more than me even when I engaged with her. They also have trivia on Tuesdays which is fun.
We arrived on a blistering hot day. Some in my party demanded to sit outside. Hot, disoriented, hungry...quite the predicament. There he was, our savior -- James H. Wisdom of a scholar, wit of a poet. He became our guiding light, our north star. Navigating us through a menu of excellent dishes and drinks with precision. If you go to Che, let this man be your guide.
