I had purchased a car back in September 2024 and had been under the impression it was a safe older vehicle. However, after having it 3 1/2 months my subframe fell due to significant frame damage due to rust that was not disclosed at the time of sale. Sold me a lemon, five stars! Seriously, we bought a used VW Tiguan at C&G which had a great Carfax service record and otherwise looked like a solid daily driver. Five days later the engine broke down bad with timing and oil pressure issues. Mechanic told us it was kaput and needed a full replacement. George at C&G worked hard to find us another suitable vehicle to swap for the lemon. After a few weeks with no luck on the replacement, we were refunded our money fully. Update: 8 months later…considering surrendering the Jeep to the finance company. I had to have a new drive shaft put in a few months back. Most of it was covered by the warranty but I still had to shell out another 500, and they overlooked the fact that a bearing, the rack from the rack and pinion and a CV axel needs we’re all shot which is almost another 5k worth of work…and now the warranty company isn’t covering everything wrong that is needed to make the vehicle safe, and won’t fix it so it stops the horrible vibration t... read more
