when i arrived at insight, i was informed of my heavy weight. they would constantly talk to us about physical and mental health ( the importance of the two) while keeping us inside for days. this was regardless of our status regarding escaping. we were children with eating disorders told to loose weight and denied any way to do so. while some staff were assistive many were hurtful and unhelpful. one night my roommate and i saw cockroaches in our room in addition to the fact that we used the same brush to clean our bathtub an... read more
I was a youth at the Insight program. While the other staff were very kind and supportive, there was one incident with a staff member. 3rd shift supervisor Jacqueline Christopher (Ms. Jackie) used the toilet inside of my bathroom one night while me and the other youth were asleep. I learned about this incident due to her not flushing the toilet afterwards and therefore woke up to urine and fecal matter inside of my toilet.
I didn’t have a great experience unfortunately, but there are small good memories, despite my experience here.♥️thanks for your experience with me while I stayed here. Have a great day.
