Great price, winery tours will pick you up and drop you off to your caravan door. Manager was friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers clean and well maintained. Very happy with this place especially when next door park is charging $90 a night. Highly recommend and horses training was a bonus as was the $2 loads of washing.
Rang the Office door bell at 3:15p, get sworn at by the Manager tapping madly at the "Back at 3pm" sign. Got sworn at again when I asked where my campsite would be before handing over my details/money. Got sworn off as I left. And by "swearing" I mean high-level offensive blasts. To the Campground Association: I'm a former Motel Manager. Sack the guy.
Convenient location and no minimum night stays compared to the caravan Park nearby and reasonably priced
Dump point installed by the CMCA. Initially, caretaker was not going to let us use it, but when I pointed this out to him, he reluctantly allowed us to do so. Were just about to leave when we were accosted by a large elderly man on a mobility scooter, who proceeded to berate us for using the dump point & accused us of lying when we said the caretaker had given us permission. All I can say is : Avoid at all costs. ( looks very rundown too boot )
We are travelling from Victoria & decided to stay at the Showgrounds. While it is convenient to everything, the toilets are not maintained well. The manager who takes your money is rude & bombastic. I asked him yesterday if there was a washing machine & was told no, I asked if there was a laundromat in town & he said he thought there was. Today I found there is indeed a washing machine which is $2 per load compared to the $9 - $12.50 in town.
