Good investment by the Government but sad state of affairs ! Had a not so good experience here. Reception and Triage went well but when it came to the main purpose the service quality plummeted! The medical practitioner/ doctor from India was cold, I think a bit judgemental, not listening to the patient, very stiff, no empathy and all ! Never going into that building again !
Waited 2 hours just for the doctor to not examine my open and leaking cyst, they also gave me antibiotics for the wrong type of cyst despite the type of cyst being written down. I felt as if I was rushed out, my cyst still leaking and not medically taken care of.
Attended with my 4yo grandson who had a badly infected splinter in the sole of his foot and was unable to walk without pain. Front desk were lovely but the triage "nurse" needs training in dealing with sick/injured children. Her attitude toward a frightened child was shameful. She showed NO patience at all and spoke abruptly to his mother and the little boy. She made no attempts to put him at ease or show any care. She simply told his mum "Well, just take him back out." Waited for a reasonable time on arrival then sent to get X-ray but when arrived back put us last on waiting list. What a joke for a 10 year old boy to wait
First visit to this clinic. Absolutely brilliant service. Booked on line and told on arrival appointment time was not guaranteed but only 1 patient in front of me. Seen within 10 minutes by triage nurse who took history and ran checks. Back to the waiting room and seen within 5 minutes by Dr Matt who was super friendly and reassuring. Bulk billed and because they issued the prescription for antibiotics, there was no charge at the adjoining chemist. What a great asset for Cessnock!
