I was here last year due to UTI, they treated me so nicely the period of time since walk in till walk out was around 3-4 hours. I was here on the Easter long weekend around 3am. Today I am here due to my partner possibly has kidney stones which is clearly more complicated incident than me. The waiting time wasn't too long around 40mins to get inside and get examined. The receptionist was lovely and kind. This review is about there being no doctor working in the hospital ED. My 2 y.o. sustained an injury at 11 am on Sunday. I took him to Cessnock ED only to be informed that there was no doctor and that I would need to make the 40 min journey to Maitland hospital to get access to treatment from an in-person doctor... A hospital without a doctor in the building doesn't really feel like a hospital to me. I feel sorry for anyone around here who sustains life-threatening injuries. I hope that ... read more

Being told pneumonia is not an emergency and coughing up blood clots is ridiculously unprofessional 2 hours sitting in there to not be seen or even told to go to another hospital is crazy

Massive wait times waited over 8 hours in the waiting room with a broken and dislocated hand. Massively under staffed and no care for people's needs also no vending machines in the waiting room very bad place to go when in need

Came in with a dislocated right shoulder, and all staff did amazing to treat me whilst it was busy. Thank you, Cessnock Hospital Emergency Department
