Have seen Dr Rios since 2017 for elevated calcium score. Does thorough medical history review. Explains tests and test results. Is generous with time in answering questions. Is conscious about patient costs (for ex, offers to give some test results by tele call instead of in-person visit). Medical assistants are also excellent. Staff is professional and helpful. I have been a patient of Dr. Ríos for approximately 5 yrs. I have a great deal of confidence in his professional expertise. He has been approachable, he has given me his full attention and answered my questions, even though my condition is not as dire as others. I also appreciate his very competent nurse practitioner.
Dr. Rios is a consummate professional who cares deeply for his patients. I recommend him highly.
My first visit was while I was a patient in the hospital, and thankfully I was able to continue to be followed by him over the next few difficult years. I am so great full to have been lucky enough I have had been a patient in his care.
My internist referred me to Dr. Rios 2 yrs ago b/c of a high calcium test score. I was nervous b/c of a family history of cardiac disease, but he gave me a high level of confidence in his expertise after consultation & testing. He's very busy, so I was pleased that he fully addressed my concerns. This year, I did follow-up testing with his nurse practitioner, and I was very satisfied with the level of care she provided.
