Charles McCarthy of Certified Chimney created a FIRE HAZARD and caused water damage! I hired them to simply install a new chimney chase cover and cap. The entire job was botched from beginning to end. The measurements for the chase cover were done so sloppy. The hole in the cover which the flue goes through was at least 6-8 inches too big. There should only be about an inch of play if measured properly. They also didn’t have a collar welded to the hole which is completely unheard of and bizarre.
