I was trying to contact **** Chimney with which we had done business with in the past and are very happy with. A search for **** Chimney showed a phone number that turned out to be Certified Chimney, which I did not realize at the time, NOT ****. Called and made an appointment, after which I got a confirmation from Certified Chimney, which made me suspicious. I finally got in touch with **** and asked them about this. Turns out Certified Chimney is trying to ***** business from ****, and stealing reviews, and probably a lot ... read more

This is the worst company to do work with. We contacted them to inspect a chimney that was pulling away from our house. They assured us after numerous phone calls that they would be able to fix the issue and reattach the chimney to our house. Upon arrival, someone who was over 18 walked them them to the chimney to show them where the work needed to be completed. Somehow, they worked on the wrong chimney, charging is thousands of dollars, only to tell us if we wanted the actual chimney discussed to be repaired, it would be th... read more

setting up my appointment to have my chimney inspected and cleaned was easy. The company quoted me $139.99 for inspection and cleaning. I searched for a company to inspect and clean my fireplace on the 17th of December on Homeadvisor. They told me they could inspect and clean my chimney on the 20th between 12pm and 2pm. They called me on the 19th to confirm. Today it is the 20th and its 2pm. No one has called. I called their office several times to no answer. You aren't even able to leave a message. the automated message tel... read more

Scam artists, fake company. Bill, or James has figured out a way to produce fake reviews on angies list and homeadviser, and continues running his scam. First, he will tell you that he can clean up for about 179, and if not possible, no fee. That will turn into 100 bucks service charge. Then he will show you double sided liner, but when the team shows up to install, they will show up with the cheap stuff. That will be another 100, which they literally steal from your table. This is not legal. Fake business, with different c... read more

After reading Sandra's review and based on my own experience, it sounds pretty scripted to me. They came into my home went right to the basement looked into the furnace connection and then it was word for word what Sandra was told. I was given a written estimate for $2,000 to put in a steel liner. I got a second opinion and did nothing.

I went on the Home Advisor's website to find a reputable company to both inspect and sweep my chimney flues. I contacted a few after checking their reviews on Home Advisor's and checking the BBB site. I went with Certified Chimney Inspections who in writing stated that for $139.95 they would inspect and sweep both the furnace and fireplace flues. When they got to my house they set up a ladder to the roof. I brought them to the basement where they removed the stack pipe from the furnace to the furnace flue. They shined a ligh... read more
