I bought my system a little over a yr ago. I didnt know prior to installation that the unit would cycle, or flush, once/day, that I couldnt use the water when it did, and that it took 4 hrs to complete. Within the first yr the filter failed and my water was full of carbon. It was repaired without charge, but I was told that if it occurred again the repair was approx 1K.
