2 stars – Great production, terrible business practices. Avoid if you value fair dealing. I hired Century Venues as both a vendor and event producer for a show. While the on-the-day production and technical crew were solid (which is the only reason this isn’t a 1-star review), the sales and account management side was shockingly poor and borderline unethical. Probably the most frustrating, buggy overall poor user experience offered by any ticketing systems I have come across... and I have come across a few bad ones before. Losing your cart when it did not time out, blank pages, error messages left and right.
Poor form in terms of refunds. Had the Winger show April in Sydney cancelled due to a fire in the basement. I live in Canberra so I was unable to attend the re-scheduled show on the Monday, and hadn't seen the email until after that show. The refund window was the day of the show so therefore I wasn't able to get a refund. T's & C's aside I find it terrible protocol to close refunds to customers who pay good money and travel interstate (Travel costs, Hotel etc) then to have such a small refund window. Their in-house ticketing system is the quite easily the worst I've ever used - took me 20 minutes to buy 2 tickets to a show. Please do your attendees a favour and use a established ticketing provider. Their checkout platform also automatically subscribes you to over 15 mailing lists whenever you buy a ticket which I'm pretty sure is illegal
