After going on a wild goose chase trying to figure out what was going on with my health, I was referred to this place which kindly took more blood work and labs to give me the diagnosis of having celiacs. Unbeknownst to me and apparently this Medical Group at adventhealth Gastroenterology celiacs usually occurs with Hashimoto's disease. DO NOT go to this office. Can't speak for any other office, but NOT this one. 1st - Dr. Welton requested a test that was not covered by my insurance. This should have been checked first!!! I am a medical coder and this was coded incorrectly... I have been trying to get them to change the DX code since Oct '24... At the beginning of '25 I got a response FINALLY - that they found the information in Dr. Welton's notes that should have been included in the coding (which wasn't) and that he was going to send it to billing to have... read more
Just found out Dr Chun left and the practice made to conscious decision not to tell her patients. This is inexcusable. I chose Dr Chun to be my provider because I trust her to provide me with excellent and honest care. Frankly I'm happy she is at a new place as this one was constantly in turmoil and apparently lacks basic integrity. Editing to add: Jeremy has been very kind and helpful every time I have spoken with him.
I like the doctor. But the PA had me take a test that gave me no good information and was not at all covered by my insurance. The code for submission to insurance indicated that it was an “experimental” test. Insu says that “there is insufficient evidence establishing that the service is generally accepted by the medical community and/or proven to be effective according to peer reviewed clinical literature!!” The PA did not tell me this when I agreed to do the test!
