CCOC has really gone downhill — unresponsive and unsafe. What used to be a reliable housing provider is now completely unresponsive. They take far too long to respond to issues — even emergencies — and often decide things aren’t urgent when they clearly are. It can take many business days just to get a reply, if at all. I have a friend who lives there. There are problems there because of homeless people and the neighborhood. She has a 1 bedroom and it's decent.
It used to be a good organization. An organization so poorly managed that today I received a collection letter for a debt I paid over 3 years ago. I have a receipt and a letter of confirmation stating the debt is paid in totality. Many years ago this was a great organization. They hired an individual who was formerly employed in the for profit housing sector. Since that moment CCOC has been on a steady decline. CCOC is nothing of the former not for profit it once was.
