We spent two nights here over new year. The cost per night was over $500 for a two bedroom apartment. There was no air conditioning in either of the bedrooms and the fans were useless making it impossible to sleep. I ended up sleeping on the lounge for both nights. It is unreasonable to expect people to sleep in non air conditioned rooms in this heat and especially when they are paying top dollar for accommodation. A HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT AND NOTHING ELSE... DO NOT STAY IN THIS APARTMENT (APRTMENT NO. 404 - CENTER POINT APARTMENTS - SURFERS PARADISE). We are a family with 2 kids and we stayed in the apartment no. 404 for four nights this summer. The location of the apartment is convenient. However, we do not think it is a good value for money as there are many other places with all facilities which this apartment did not have at the same price point. Do not stay here!!!. What a disgrace this place is. Management are the rudest and most unhelpful people I have ever encountered. They love to stand around and gossip about people with other residents whilst your walking past, very unprofessional, it seems to be the local hangout. The whole place is a dump, old and dingy and comes with a smell. Access is a nightmare you can only enter from one side of the road. Road noise is horrific with little to no sleep. Pros- The owner of my apartment and the apartment itself were both lovely. Cons- the receptionist woman and management man could not be less helpful if they tried. They love to stand around and chat to each other and if you ask for help with anything you are met with a dirty look and a “no”. Not entirely sure what they actually do other than go on a power trip telling people where they can/can’t park and what times they’re allowed visitors and put angry notes in capital letters through your door. I would NEVER stay here again. ZERO stars for Centrepoint resort apartments. The building has permanent residents as well as part time rentals. From our experience the permanent rentals / owners are NOT welcoming to short term visitors and the manager was an incredibly RUDE, unhelpful, dismissive HORRIBLE person, he even refused to give his name so I could contact the centre owners as a direct complaint.
