Had an Above Guideline Increase in rent with Briarlane Rental Property Mangement. It went to an online mediation at the Ontario Landlord and Tenant Board. Lawyer assigned was Erin Tobin. It as tricky to get her to call back at times and reminders had to be sent. She was busy with another case so she gave me negotiating points for the mediation with a recommendation to settle for a lower AGI as she could not make it online. absolutely disheartening! my case is very critical and i’ve been shown nothing but carelessness & false hopes by this organization. If you can’t help, why pretend to? Participated in a recent study conducted by them that mentioned they were giving cash as compensation. After completing the study, we were instead sent an unknown electronic gift card that expires in one month, with unclear instructions on how to use. Why can't you just mention in your ad that you are giving a one-month valid electronic gift card which does not have a clear way to use, instead of implying you are giving cash as compensation?
