If I could give zero stars I would. It is unfortunate that this is the only emergency medical service in State College, as their billing is the most abhorrent system I have ever encountered. After never sending me any bill or any correspondence, my bill was sent to collections. As it turns out, they did not have my correct address on file until after they sent my bill to collections. Just awful. In every aspect from communication to billing. My daughter went in with a cough. They ran every test under sun including a full body scan! Charged me over $2500 (after insurance!)- told her she had covid- go home and don't tell anyone. They should be investigated for insurance fraud. Then wont discuss or explain the bill!! Just awful. Told my daughter she better be missing a limb if she ever goes there again.
Definitely understand why this place has bad reviews… I have never met a doctor that was more rude, and unenthusiastic. When I say unenthusiastic I mean she literally came in slouching with a monotone voice and was clearly doing it on purpose. It felt like she was going through something and is starting to take it out on her job…
The worst billing system ever, didn't even process my payment properly through insurance to cover all the charges and then sends $43 bill to collection services. So pathetic.
