Case Managers were blamed for everything from budget cuts to a deterioration in the health of the clients. When budget cuts happened, we were lectured bc the agency wasn't getting more referrals. When the clients experienced a decline in health, case managers were accused of either not doing a thorough assessment or not communicating the deterioration to the various departments.
