After two years of weekly, expensive visits I feel Dr Joey cared more about the money than offering help to a child who desperately needed it. He was experiencing terrible things, and never once felt safe enough with Dr Joey to tell him anything. Empower therapy is a WONDERFUL alternative.

Dr Joey has helped our daughter tremendously with his counseling and play therapy. Very patient and understanding man, with a sense that he listens to her and us with questions and concerns. We have seen a huge difference in her social skills, expressing feelings etc..Would recommend him to anyone looking for a child therapist.

We originally found Dr. Joey through a list given to us by our pediatrician and were thrilled he did play therapy. Our son enjoyed going to him because of all of the toys, but unfortunately I had no idea how or what progress he was making. Dr. Joey did NOT communicate with us throughout the time we spent taking our son to therapy. We requested, at our first meeting, to set up a time to virtually talk about my son's progress and the time was never scheduled. Truly cares about his patients and their well being. He has been so flexible with scheduling to allow for convenient times, and even continued to see patients via video conferencing during the pandemic! Very grateful for everything you do!
