Life changing disaster - I saw Dr Young for a bowel resection and ended up with the left side of my body mangled. After 3 days of screaming due to my kidney about to explode, (creating indescribable pain), a J-stent was inserted to replace my destroyed urethra. The surgery should have need endoscopic, but I had both endoscopic and large surgical incisions, so there had clearly been a problem during surgery. Professor Christopher Young has been my surgeon for 15 plus years and I am honoured to receive his care. Professor Young is a very approachable and understanding person and his professionalism is beyond reproach. He is always willing to go that extra bit in an effort to bring relief to his patients and is very particular about making sure the patient knows all that is happening or likely to happen and what to do about it. I would recommend Professor Christopher Young to anyone requiring a colorectal surgeon.
I definitely recommend Professor Young and his team. Very experienced but also provides high level of support for patients which is appreciated, especially because surgery can be a bit intimidating first time around.
