We hired Central State Masonry in the spring of 2022 to pour a large slab and apron. The cost of this project was over $8000. In March of 2023, we noticed significant scaling and the nearly the entire top 1/8 inch layer chipped away. We contacted Central State Masonry. They agreed there was an issue and stated they would be contacted Cemstone regarding the mix. We did contact ******** Rep. to go look at their driveway and take pictures. They told us that it was a salt issue and since we had photos of the compacted snow on the driveway that that was also an issue. We have photos of the job this customer is unhappy with and if I could post them you could see why the driveway is spalling as this customer did not take proper care of the concrete at all. We have photos of ice and snow build up on their concrete the day after she called, we went to look at the issue. They drive the city ... read more

We had a large driveway and sidewalk installed at a cost of nearly $17,000 by Gary and his crew at Central State Masonry. Communication was somewhat poor from the start. Many emails were sent checking to see if he got our down payment, signed contracts, etc. He blamed a lot of the communication issues on “the wife”. She was helping while Gary had an injury and struggled to get around. We understood that and continued with the installation on June 21, 2021.
