I recently stayed at Central Plaza in Port Douglas and had an amazing experience. The apartments were clean, spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained, making our stay extremely enjoyable. One of the highlights of the trip was the pool area. The pool was a lot of fun and was the perfect place to relax and cool off. I also really enjoyed the barbecue facilities near the pool. Great location close to heart of Port Douglas, price was OK but rooms were very outdated and didn’t reflect the advertising pictures. Floors have not been properly cleaned since the dawn of time.

We made a booking at this property for 2 units via booking.com which was confirmed by the property. It has subsequently been cancelled by the property with no alternatives given. Reason given was that the units are privately owned and the owner rescinded the managers authority to accept the booking after we were booked - I don't understand if the unit is in the letting pool that they can just cancel at will. Not very professional - wouldn't attempt to use this property again.

Great location. We took our 3 teenage grandchildren for 10 nights in 2018. They didn't want to leave, actually none of us wanted to leave. We had a hire car and rarely needed to use it. We hired the onsite mopeds a couple of times and had a ball. Room was clean and spacious and the pool was beautiful. Really hoping to get back to Central Plaza in 2023.
