Great location close to heart of Port Douglas, price was OK but rooms were very outdated and didn’t reflect the advertising pictures. Floors have not been properly cleaned since the dawn of time.
We made a booking at this property for 2 units via booking.com which was confirmed by the property. It has subsequently been cancelled by the property with no alternatives given. Reason given was that the units are privately owned and the owner rescinded the managers authority to accept the booking after we were booked - I don't understand if the unit is in the letting pool that they can just cancel at will. Not very professional - wouldn't attempt to use this property again.
Great location. We took our 3 teenage grandchildren for 10 nights in 2018. They didn't want to leave, actually none of us wanted to leave. We had a hire car and rarely needed to use it. We hired the onsite mopeds a couple of times and had a ball. Room was clean and spacious and the pool was beautiful. Really hoping to get back to Central Plaza in 2023.
Pool under a revamp for 3mths.. can't wait to see results guys.
Generous hosts, great location very close to the beach, and a wonderful pool. We had a fantastic holiday as a family, highly recommend for a completely relaxing break.
