I had an excellent experience with Dr Basnayake who is not only highly knowledgeable but also very approachable and compassionate. Dr Basnayake was probably the least sympathetic and dismissive Gastroenterologist I saw in my health Journey. Gas lighted me on certain treatments that are well known and proven in the medical fraternity but he seems to think the conditions don't exist. Would rather use the fake term "functional gut disorder" than actually educate himself on alternative treatments and conditions. Definitely wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
