I am putting a new house on some land. I called 7/23 to set up an appointment to get CMP to connect power to my new house. I advised them that my experience licensed electrician would be completing it the beginning of the following week the man set up the appointment in a three day window the 29th 30th and 31st my electrician did his job. CMP is practicing illegal bill collecting in the state of Maine. I received a bill from a debt collector for a CMP debt on June 2. I received a letter from CMP for the same exact debt on June 3. CMP cannot legally send a bill to a debt collector and also ask for the same money. I wish there was a zero star rating. Power from Canada would be cheaper 🤔
Mismanagement all the way around. Horrible customer service, old outdated equipment and grid. And they pass their shortfalls to their customers by raising their bills while CMP continues to go downhill.
Worst company ever to exist. If you ever have the option to choose a power company, don't even think about CMP. I'm praying for the day they go out of business.
