Back in 2024 we experienced a outage due to strong winds and cold. I needed to go to the store for food and also to get warm inside my truck since I had no heat ! On my way home, I flagged down a Central Hudson Truck on my road and asked the driver approximately when the power would be returned and he stated he had no time to chat. So he left. Worst electric company ever had to deal with, never missed a payment had zero balance for years the out of nowhere got hit with a 4500$ bill and they couldn’t explain it. After trying to get answers for over a year(while still paying my current bills) they decided to turn off my power, on a Friday and with a 6month old baby in the house.
Called recently and the rep stated they couldn’t answer questions and transferred us to a supervisor at Poughkeepsie. The supervisor was rude and would not let us talk. Kept cutting us off and said conversation was over. We asked for another supervisor and they stated that they are all in “meetings” and when we tried to ask a question she said no and hanged up rudely.
