Horrible, horrible experience. Their "estimated reading" is not accurate at all! They need to hire more guys in the field to give accurate readings, especially to new customers. We have proof and everything for our pre reading, and tried to correct it before and after!!!! They declined to help us then and now. Everyone is complaining about the same thing. Im very disappointed with the service from Hudson Central Energy. After a fire in my home back in March, I had to stop my light service for safety reasons. Now that my home is ready to reconnect, the staff has been completely unhelpful with reinstalling or restoring my service. l"ve tried to get assistance multiple times, in one day, but no one seems willing to help or provide clear guidance. horrible customer service
Other companies should be allowed to compete against Central Hudson Gas & Electric. I discovered that the net meter (to measure the amount of electricity generated by our solar panels) wasn't working in October 2024. Central Hudson replaced it with a meter and altered past bills, making it very difficult to tell if the new meter was operating correctly.
