Dr. Gies and his staff are wonderful! My dentist referred me to Central Florida Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery for a back tooth extraction I was a little apprehensive about having a tooth extraction as I am in my late seventies My first visit was for a consultation; when I arrived, I had forgotten to bring the information from my dentist; the front staff was so fantastic at contacting my dentist to have paperwork sent over immediately. I feel like some of the reviews do not give a fair judgement of this office. I went and had 2 wisdom teeth removed and by far was the most comfortable and relaxed I have ever been. The doctor was completely awesome and straight forward with the whole procedure, the nurse that brought me back you could tell had a routine that she followed, but answered any questions I had. After a very quick procedure which I was surprised by, I’m 3 days post operation and feel great. They gave me everything to keep me healthy post operation.... read more
Avoid this place. I am an immunocompromised patient and at the referral of my nephrologist as well as my general dentist I needed to see an oral surgeon. So I went to see Dr. Gies at this office. Both my doctors requested a scan (and possibly a biopsy if needed) of a terrible mouth ulcer I had. This office did NONE of these for me. Saw the doctor for a total of maybe 5 minutes, he looked in my mouth and said he didn’t think anything was necessary to do. The best oral surgeon around. I am very impressed with Dr Crofton and his entire team.
AVOID this office at all costs. My child had surgery with Dr. Gies for the removal of 4 impacted wisdom teeth. I informed the doctor and all of the staff that she is difficult to place under anesthesia when we had the initial consult and several times the day of the procedure. We paid for IV sedation for my child and my child was awake, hyperventilating, sobbing and asking them to stop REPEATEDLY, as noted in their own post op notes, for the entire procedure.
