I just experienced one of the most terrifying emergencies I've ever had to go through with one of my pets. I went to Central animal hospital as a first time client on a Thursday afternoon. I have never seen an entire clinic band together and take care of an animal like this. Not only did they save her life which was an absolute miracle but everybody was involved with updating me and making sure she had everything she needed. I don't know where to begin.... I came here 2 years ago, I called and asked if they treat guinea pigs... they never told me to consult an exotic vet or that they didn't... they brought me and my pigs in... we initially came in for sneezing to get them checked out .. I was worried it may be an upper respiratory infection. We were prescribed antibiotics and the sneezing never stopped... (the pig just got an exam today still sneezing just the same and he is not sick and shouldn't have had antibiotics in the first place) Anyway.... read more
I took my dying cat here to be put down so he wasn’t in pain waiting a few days to go to my regular vet, I was charged an “exam” fee on top of the price to put him down. Their fees for the communal cremation are inflated $35 more than any other vet charges or if I was to take the cat to the pet crematory myself. Also the cost to euthanize was much more than other local vets. It’s sad they take advantage of people grieving.
