My son's grandma was at CURA health in Monticello and passed away overnight Monday. They called us all around 125Am Tuesday morning but, we were all asleep so no phones were answered. They continued calling until one of her daughters answered around 230AM. After informing her, they asked what funeral home would be picking the body up and when. My husband passed away about 3 weeks ago. The staff offered to help me with cleaning out his stuff. When my son picked it up he was given 3 garbage bags in 1 larger bag. When I finally got the chance to go through his things there were alot of his things missing. When I brought him there I made sure he had 7 of every piece of clothing. I didn't get any of his (7) sweat pants back (but there were 3 pants that belonged to someone else). He was missing t-shirts and I didn't get all of his sweatshirts back. We have asked several times for TV's to be turned down and a shower for my mom, so far 6 days have gone by with no help or changes. Very disappointing.
Amazing staff, such a good facility.
I was staff here from 2022-2025, back when it was Centracare Monticello care center, I loved it, but with the turn over into Cura (premier healthcare), everything is a MESS. The management is all new to their roles with no training (or very little, I had attempted to step up as HUC and was only trained 3 days with someone who did very few of the same tasks I was expected to know) and they have little to no experience in their roles before they were hired here.
