I have lost 145 pounds. I did have to go the surgical route due to gastroparesis. If you work the system, I know several that had great success. I'm over 3 years post-op and have kept weight off. My a1c has improved... started at 15 and down to 5.7. I was on 110 units of insulin twice a day. Currently, I am not on insulin, but medication to improve my body uses my own insulin. Admittedly, I really didn't want to "diet," but it become choosing between life or death. I chose life.
The people there is very nice ,but this program doesn't not help people, I waited a year to see them didn't like what they said so I tried it on my on and lost around 7lbs . Didn't like it was taking to long so I called again and they said I had a insulin problem went on meds for went on a real diet no sugar, yogurt and salads and I gain weight and they said don't look at the scale, I shouldn't be gaining at this point and they not helping it's terrible.
just beginning, but so far I have no complaints about this medical facility. very supportive staff. looking forward to learning more as my journey begins.
