I am definately looking forward to receiving it, and i have loads of wonderful things to say about centex homes, the professional and very helpful friendly staff, and the solid state quality built home we purchased. Centex gets a 10 star rating from my happy family! I just hope i can mention names of centex people weve delt with as well as my own!

Our shower leaked in our 4 year old Centex home in Visalia. It leaked so bad that the carpet kept getting wet. The warranty center gave me so much heart ach to come out and fix it. The entire tile had to be removed and replaced to fix the leak. The repair man said that the tile was not completed correctly with anti fracture membrane or blue 92 so when the foundation cracked the cracked also caused the tile to crake an caused the leak.
They began our house in June of 2005 it was suppose to be done on January 2006. Now it is June 2, 2006 and it is still not done. The house's that are supposed to be completed after us are closer to completion. Why they passed us up is a mystery to me. Our house was left setting for the longest time. It rained, and rained on it with the house not having a roof. It is no wonder the Centex homes are notorious for having mold. I am ready to walk away.
Please dont buy from this builder...their homes are all made very cheap. We moved in in November and the house is already falling apart. Also, the people are unprofessional and will never give you a straight answer...only excuses. PLEASE DONT BUY FROM CENTEX.

I will never purchase another Centex new home build EVER. This was the worst homebuying experience Ive ever had. The customer service is one of the worst Ive ever experienced and they do very little to make up for their shortcomings. Think twice before buying Centex.

After putting a deposit down on our home in July 2006, 1 month before we are scheduled to close escrow, we have come across a problem. The sales price of our home, including upgrades, is 435,000. The appraisal that Centex requested we pay for came in at only 384,000. Now, Centex is insisting that we pay the 50,000 difference in cash. We do not understand how they can justify trying to sell us a home for more than the market value. Would you pay 30,000 for a car thats only worth 20,000?
