Horrible experience at Centerpoint mediation. After my ex and I came to an agreement on everything and presented the information to Genice and asked her to fill out the paperwork with what we agreed upon she would not work with us any longer. Mediation is supposed to work for the people getting divorced not the opinion of the mediator and it should to be neutral and not favor one side or the other. GENICE was not a neutral mediator. Unfortunately, not impartial. Also, not particularly skilled at document preparation. None of it was useable in court. Ms. Brown changed documents when only one party was present. That’s not mediation. Lots of money wasted. Note to fathers - find the resources for a quality lawyer. Centerpoint and Ms. Brown will ultimately troll you, either out of ignorance or arrogance. Fight for your legal rights, and do it elsewhere.
Having never use mediation before, I was blessed to find Geniece who helped me navigate through a very challenging mediation. She give me encouragement to think and search out alternating perspectives while remaining neutral for all parties. Geniece did an amazing job for us. She helped us navigate a tough situation. She was neutral, kind, understanding, patient, and had great suggestions- especially on compromise. She was able to guide the conversation in order to stay on track and focus on our goal of separating assets. I highly recommend Geniece!!
