What a disappointment this social service agency turned out to be. On January 15, 2025 I received a referral for financial assistance to pay my rent, given to me by the Archdiocese of Vincent Saint DePaul. Upon arrival, John an employee there informed me to call The Center at midnight on 01/31/2025 to place a request for assistance. These people denied my cousins getting their nieces out of dcfs, who have been in DCFS for over a year. They said because the house was dirty but you could eat off my cousins floor. We are pretty sure it's because they are GAY. They have before. And after photos of when they were here. They are talking to a lawyer to see what they can do about defamation. Especially since there is proof. Shame on you.
This place is full of themselves! Taking a special needs toddler away from the only family she has ever known cause they don't want to work with the foster parent when they wasn't perfect 1 or 2 times! I'd like to see them put in all the time and effort and love to these children that the foster parents do. No they won't! They don't care about love or happiness or the child thriving. All they care about is the little things. If I could I wouldn't of given them one star!
They took my gf's boys away and placed them with her ex husband not their father for 48 hours and now we are having troubles getting them back. This organization has zero affiliation with DCFS and can not legally take your children. The representative misrepresented herself as a state employee/ social worker and forced my gf into signing a 48hr document because she was under the assumption she had to and there was no other choice all of this was because her 13 y.o. son didn't want to go home at that time.
